We know that website security is a big deal.
First you should know that Generush uses advanced website security, encryption and PCI tools to keep all transactions and data safe.
Anytime a contributor lands on your Generush URL giving page (www.yourchurch.generush.org) they will see the ‘lock’ icon in the browser address window.

However, if you have added or planning to embed the giving form into your organization’s web page the security status of your web page will be displayed. This means it may be displayed as “Not Secure”

Why this happens:
If your hosting the donation form on your website and you site does not have an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certificate then it may show “Not Secure.” The giving form from Generush is secure.
How to fix it:
If your contributors have expressed concern about security while giving here are 2 solutions for you.
- Contact your web hosting service or Domain service to acquire a SSL Certificate for you site.
- Remove the embedded form from your page and place a “give now” button on the page that opens your Generush hosted link (https://www.yourchurch.generush.org) in a blank window.
